We are looking to recruit up to five Postdoctoral scientists to work with Dr Jason Chin. The successful candidates will join Dr Chin’s expanding research programme, which includes the new Centre for Chemical & Synthetic Biology (CCSB). The postholders will develop and apply methods to genetically encode new amino acids in proteins. For recent examples see: A Gautier et al. J.Am Chem . Soc. 2010, H. Neumann et al. Mol. Ce11.2009, & Neumann et al Nature 2010.


You should have a PhD in a biological or physical science (or due to complete doctoral studies within six months of applying). Candidates should have substantial experience with molecular biology techniques.

Successful candidates will be awarded a two year Career Development Fellowship funded by the European Research Council. This is a training and development position for a postdoctoral scientist who has recently completed her or his doctoral studies or is moving into a new research discipline.
