Position as postdoctoral research fellow (SKO 1352) available at The Department of Physics, University of Oslo.
The fellowship period is 2 years.  No one can be appointed for more than one specified period at the same institution.The successful candidate should be prepared to start as soon as possible.

Job description
The position is allocated to the Advanced Materials and Complex Systems research group. The work is part of a project financed by the Research Council of Norway on complexity in condensed matter systems. For the year 2011/12 the group has been selected as a research group at Centre for Advanced Study (CAS), and the position is directly linked to this appointment. The hired person will work in close collaboration with the group leader, thus a solid background in experimental work on superconductivity and magnetism is required. In particular, considerable expertise in electromagnetic behaviour of superconductors and magnetic materials, and hands-on experience in magnetometry and space-resolved magnetic measurements is preferred.
Requirements
The candidate should have a PhD in condensed matter physics at the time of appointment.
The main purpose of post-doctoral research fellowships is to qualify researchers for work in top academic positions within their disciplines.

Salary
Pay grade 57-64 (NOK 448 200 - 510 000 per year, depending on qualifications and seniority).
