The objective of the project will be to analyze how intracellular conditions of signal transduction networks lead to different phenotypic outputs during liver regeneration by using innovative functional microscopic approaches.

fate of hepatic stellate cells (HSC) that have characteristics of stem cells will be tracked during differentiation using several optical biomarkers. Project 1 will focus on monitoring the role of Wnt signalling in liver regeneration, project 2 will monitor pro-apoptotic signalling emanating from CD95.
Requirements

The successful candidates should be highly motivated, be willing to operate in both basic as well as clinical research, hold a master/diploma in biology or a related field and be willing to work with mice and rats. Experience in animal handling, cell culture and molecular biology basic techniques are desirable but not essential.
Application
Please send your application including a cover letter, recent CV, copies of your certificates as well as two names of reference with contact details before December 5, 2010.
