Postgraduate International Scholarships, Bournemouth University, UK, This scholarship is offered to international (non-EU) applicants for BU postgraduate degrees beginning in September 2011 and January 2012. You will be eligible to apply for a BU Postgraduate International Scholarship if you can demonstrate an outstanding academic profile relevant to your course. An outstanding academic profile is one which is considered to be equivalent to a UK 1st class Honours degree as assessed by NARIC.

Nokia PhD Scholarships 2011

Nokia Scholarship is intended to encourage efficient, fast-progressing postgraduate studies. Nokia Scholarships are granted for individuals pursuing a doctoral degree in information or telecommunications technology or in areas supporting the development of these branches of science. Scholarship can be granted for post-graduate studies in a Finnish university or to a Finnish applicant for post-graduate Scholarships  studies abroad.

The applicant must have a commitment of the supervising professor in the receiving university. The scholarship can be granted at most twice to the same person.

1. The Scheme applies to international (non-UK and non-EU) students making applications for a full-time postgraduate taught course of study only. It does not apply to research degrees such as MPhil or PhD.
2. The closing date for applications for scholarships is 1 September 2011.
3. Applications should be made direct to the department responsible for administering your chosen programme.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) - Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst – supports a range of postgraduate courses at German universities which aim at providing academically educated young professionals from Developing Countries with further specialized studies. The DAAD supports these selected programs with a certain quota of scholarships and with financial assistance for a special tutoring system. At the end of the course (programs run 12 to 36 months, depending on the particular institution) participants can obtain an internationally recognized Master’s or in some courses PhD degree.

Post Graduate scholarships in Australian National University

The Australian National University (ANU) offers a range of one and two year Masters by Coursework programs in engineering, information technology and computing. Two of these programs include research. In most cases, two one-year programs can be combined. This enables international students to apply for a two-year visa.
